Crawen Beach
Grande Anse Beach
Pompierre Beach
We particularly recommend you Rodrigue (for its rural side), Pain de Sucre (especially in the morning, because of the sun, nice beach with shadow as well, and perfect for snorkeling), Figuier, Anse Galet (also perfect for snorkeling, and ideal for sunset), Pompierre (before 11h00 am), Anse Mire during the afternoon and Crawen (but not by rainy days, because of the dangerous trees, mancenilliers).
Do not hesitated to ask Jean-Philippe or Maxime which beach they suggest, because they are all differently exposed...
For your excursions, you can hike la trace des crêtes, which starts at the left of the Grande Anse Beach and ends at Pompierre, trail to the mont Chameau in order to profit of the magnificient panorama, visit Napoleon Fort (open only in the morning) and its botanical garden, take the ferry to Trois-Rivières and rent a car to visit Guadeloupe, ...
... or, of course, take the shuttle Inter and spend a day at Terre-de-Bas: nothing worth a short ride in minibus and discover Terre-de-Bas charms, its secondary school, its watertank, its airport, its Iguana swamp, and, of course, its Grande Anse Beach and the restaurant "Chez Eugénette" ...
For eat out, you will have a lot of choice! But, do not leave without trying:

- balaou fillet and the lemon sauce at the
Saladerie (closed on monday night and tuesday),
- accras and poisson coffre to
Chez Eugénette (in fact, served by Gaëtane, her daughter, with her legendary kindness),
- in a marvellous tropical garden Z'amours, on the way to Pompierre, near the beach,
- the nearly in the water table of
le Triangle,
- the langoustes caught by Jean-Claude and cooked by Jean-Philippe, if you stay in Paradis Saintois,
- Claire-Lyse fruits punch (particular the Lime one - but everything is a matter of taste), served at the famous welcome drink at Paradis Saintois
- the bread of
Fournil de Jimmy,
- the coco sorbets of the hawkers, opposite to the church,
- fishes form the fishmarket, grilled on Paradis Saintois BBQ,
- cocktails at
Chez Cécile (opposite to the vegetables market),
- the lambis pancakes and salt pastries from the hawkers (on the main road, just before the fish market, from 09h00 to 12h00 am).

If you want to cook, you will find all you need either at the supermarket Vival (next to Chez Cécile), either at Samson, Huit à Huit (on the road to Pompierre). And for vegetables, do not hesitate to go to Verger des Iles, opposiste the Dispensary building, Frank is a very kind person and will suggest you what to buy.
And, if you got some more time, let's go diving with Pisquettes or climbing with Caraïbes Escalade, and much more !
Well, finished with all our advices ... Let you be inspired by the charm of this island and the friendliness of the local people!
